JC Ministries

JC Ministries is a non-profit agency working with recovery-related programs throughout the Gulf Coast. We are here to offer help and guidance to the women of the Greater New Orleans area struggling with issues related to substance abuse. Our transitional home for women, located between two of the failed canals, suffered flood damage during Hurricane Katrina. Would you please consider making a contribution towards our rebuilding? Your donation is tax-deductible.

If I had a Hammer....

Here are some mug shots of Cedarville students hard at work - or are they? Cedarville U is in Cedarville, OH. I was impressed that I could see their smiles coming through their face masks!
In the background, you can see the torn out plaster wall in a downstairs room.

Oh! They were finally able to get that workout unit outside!

A trench had to be dug for a new electric connection to the shed, replacing the former antiquated wires strung across the yard. Cedarville students prepared the home to be rewired. Most of the wiring was original and had to be replaced in order for the city inspector to approve turning the electricity back on. Here is Dr. Carl with a student taking a pose break. Note that the rattan chairs have made their way into the back yard!

Then there was the problem with the gate being stuck shut... forntunately, we found the right key!
